So I have kind of been a really bad blogger lately. I'm SO
SORRY!!! I have been so busy with getting ready for school to start, having
family in town, ect, but hey I shouldn't have any excuses! I have been wanting
to blog I just haven't really know what I wanted to blog about, so I decided to
do nails. Since the new school year is starting soon I will be doing more blogging
and I will have lots more to talk about and share with all of you, my lovely
readers! So let's get started! I want to talk to you guys all about Growing
your nails, and why biting them is a TERRIBLE
habit! I will also tell you about a great nail polish I purchased! So Nails are
an accessory to any girl, aren't they? I have always have had little nubs as
nails, and they looked terrible. I really wanted long nails to paint on, with
billions of fancy nail polishes, but I have always had trouble. I have been a
nail bitter since I was little, it is a habit that has been very hard to break.
Biting my nails has always been my habit to let my stress out. I used my nails
as something to "Calm me" or "Keep me distracted" if I was
scared or freaking out about different things. I have tried several times over
the last few years to grow them and it has worked for the first couple of
weeks, but then they would break. My nails are quite thin so it doesn't really
help me in that department. After they would break I would HATE that the nails
were so uneven, I then would bit them and give up. I know is sounds terrible,
but this went on and off till this year. About a month and half ago my mom took
my aunt, little sister and myself to get pedicures and manicures. In reality
this was quite a treat, we don't go to often cause it can cost quite a bit for
4 people. So I myself was just going to get a pedicure done, cause there was no
purpose of getting my nails done if they were just little nubs, right? After my
toes were done, my mom said "Would you want to get your nails done
to?", I thought I guess it wouldn't hurt and I could try to grow them
again, so I said sure. Now I did not want to get a colorful rainbow nails, because
I really didn't want to show off my little nub fingers, so the young lady who
did my nails just trimmed them and filed them, then painted them with a clear
coat of nail polish. It looked fine and after it was done. A week went by after
getting them done, and not once did I bit them, I was quite proud! Then on the
third week the clear coat was gone and my nails then started to grow and even
out. I think growing my nails during the summer is much easier, because I then
don't have the stress of school and friends on my mind. It's now been almost
two months, and my nails are quite long! I haven't wanted to bit them, and they
are actually looking great! I finally have long nails! I hope I really can keep
this up, because so far this is all going great! :) Now, as they have grown, I
filed them and painted them with clear nail polish. They are now to the point where
I can start painting them, and making my nails fancy! Haha Now, I had gone to
Walgreen's during the beginning of the month, and I wanted a new summer color
for my nails so they would pop! I didn't want nail polishes that I had already
tried or I have used tons of times. I never had used the Essie nail polishes
till this month, and let me tell you I'm in love with their nail polishes!!
They are fantastic! There was one particular nail polish that I had wanted to
purchase. I had seen it in my new issue of Teen Vogue and I had heard tons of
You tuber's that I subscribe to talk about it in their videos. The nail polish
is called, "Mint candy Apple".

Now, I am literally obsessed with the
color mint. It is the perfect color and I can't get enough of it! I love every
single thing about this nail polish, but the price. Most nail polishes you find
at local drug stores range from 99 cents to $3.00 at the most. Now this nail
polish is around $7.00. I really hate that they are so much, but this is the
only flaw in the nail polishes by Essie. The quality is quite spot on, the nail
polish last for quite some time without chipping, and the range of colors and
collections..Perfection! I really love this color and I have gotten a few
others during this month. I would recommend the Essie nail polishes, but only
if you have long nails or are willing to grow then out. This nail polish not
everyone can afford, and it can sound silly to purchase a $7.00 nail polish,
but they are WORTH IT. For their quality and range of colors, I feel that they
are worth it and I will be buying more. Now, if any of you guys want to
recommend any nail polishes to me or you want me to recommend to you guys...let
me know in the comment section below! I hope everyone has enjoyed, and new blog
post will be up very soon. I can't promise that it will be right away, but I
haven't stopped blogging I have really enjoyed having a blog so far to share my
thoughts, and there is so much more that I want to share with you guys! I Love
you all! Xoxo
