Hello and Happy Sunday! Last night I went for a run in bear canyon with my boyfriend. Since the track season is over I would like to keep in shape and instead practicing on my throwing, I instead turned to running. Now, I'm not super fantastic at running, but I can manage and keep a good pace...most of the time. I do wish I had longer legs at times, especially when running. Since I am only 5'0ft tall, my small legs equal a smaller stride...but hey I am getting some what better. We ran a 3k last night and I have to say it was pretty great. I kept a good pace..most of the time, we had a bit of fun and raced each other at times and we got to watch a beautiful sunset. My boyfriend is 10x faster and better then me, but he is quite tall (so lucky) so he has those dang long legs. He did keep at my pace and I hope soon I will be able to build up my pace, and become just as good (or even better) then he is...hahaha.
My goal is to build up my pace, so I can run for longer distances without running out of breath, and just being able to feel better about about who I am and to just clear my mind. It was such a beautiful day yesterday...a bit windy, but still beautiful. The run was peaceful and just fun to get outside and go for a run. I would like to be running everyday, its good for your body and health, and doing that yesterday put me in the right direction to do so. On our way back from our run I tried taking some pictures of the scenery that surrounded us. As I was taking pictures I found this cactus that had a few pink flowers on it, so I i thought.."oh why not take a picture?". I got up really close so I could get the picture I wanted and my boyfriend held me back a little, because I was going to hit the all the pointy spines of the cactus. As soon as I took the picture, for some reason...I don't know why I shoved my arm back and got a few of spines (the spiky needles) into my arm, wow it was painful. After a while the pain went away...god I hate cactus's.
After that, we then saw tons of rabbits all around, and there was just one that just sat there for us. It was so cute and adorable..haha. After the run we sat at the dam and watched the rest of the sunset. I thought I would just share this little adventure I guess you could say that I had yesterday. I will talk to you guys soon! :)
