It's Monday on the blog today and I wanted to share how to cure some Monday blues as well I wanted to share a cute and comfortable fall/winter outfit! Mondays don't always suck, but going to school/work after a nice relaxing weekend...well it can be hell. We drink tea/coffee to try and get energized, have an energy bar, energy drink etc...but sometimes those things don't work.
How about some things that actually make you want to get up in the morning and make the most of your day. Let me tell you! Monday is the the day that can set your whole attitude for the week, having a good attitude and changing your mindset is to start. If you start out your day thinking negative, that's the result you will get all day long. Think happy and it will change your mood and how you solve each situation and react to whatever comes your way.
Another idea? Yeah we can sleep in on the weekends, but that can mess up our usual sleep schedule. Instead that Sunday, wake up, drink a big glass of water and start your day of with a hike, bike ride or doing something with friends and family! Then you can be distressed and ready for your Monday!
There are tons of ways to cure the Monday blues, but its up to you if you want to. Just drinking a big glass of water and exercising can change you whole day to!
I thought I would share just a few ideas with you all. Monday was pretty great, crossing my fingers the rest of the week is to.
Lets get on to the outfit! Today I wanted to be warm, but mix up my fall and winter items. Today was a chilly 42 degrees. (burrrrrrr!) I made it through though!
Fall is all about scarves, so I wore my navy blue and red flannel scarf. It a staple for fall, and a must for winter. I purchased it last year at target, and this year they brought in some similar scarves just like the one I am wearing.
I wore my new favorite watch, which is also from Target. It was a birthday present and is great.
Instead spending hundreds, why not twenty or thirty dollars? With my the scarf and watch, I am wearing a simple white sweater from Forever 21 that I purchased a few years ago. Its warm, but I get cold pretty easily so I added a t-shirt underneath.
I paired everything with a dark forest green jeans, that I rolled at the ankles. They are originally from Loft, but I found them at a thrift store for six dollars; it was a pretty great find! Then instead of boots or something I tied it all together with some white Converse. I wanted my feet to be comfy and casual, but stylish at the same time.
Here I wore my black wool coat from Old Navy. It keeps me warm and is very stylish. It is perfect for fall and right as we hit winter. Today was cold and very windy. (which is just the worst)All in all is was a great day! What is your fall/winter staple?
Talk to you all soon!
